Travelers arrive in Montreal and make their way to the superb Embassy Suites by Hilton (or similar) in downtown Montreal where comfortable accommodations await. Later tonight, a welcome reception, a nice way to meet your fellow travelers.

This morning offers a comprehensive sightseeing tour of the largest French speaking city in the world after Paris and takes in Mount Royal, the elegant Westmount area and the historic Old Port. We have left all afternoon and evening free for you to enjoy Montreal at your own pace.

All Aboard! We travel on Via Rail Canada east to glorious picture-perfect Quebec City where a complete city sightseeing tour which includes the Plains of Abraham, the historic Citadel and the Old Town. Later we arrive at our hotel (Hotel Chateau Laurier or similar) to begin our two-night stay in this magical setting.

A special treat today with lunch at an authentic sugar shack on the rustic Ile d'Orleans featuring Quebecois specialties like split pea soup and maple syrup baked ham and the famed sugar pie. Ile d'Orleans is an island in the St Lawrence and captures how life was in Quebec 300 years ago.

A ten minute transfer to take us to the pier and the Sapphire Princess and we soon set sail for ruggedly beautiful Saguenay, Quebec.

Saguenay is a picturesque city nestled along the Saguenay River in Quebec, surrounded by dramatic cliffs and lush forests. Known for its stunning fjord, vibrant culture, and outdoor adventures. Saguenay offers a charming mix of natural beauty and small-city charm.

Charlottetown is the capital city of Prince Edward Island located on the island’s south shore along the Hillsborough River. The city has a small-town feel, historic architecture, a vibrant arts scene, and a strong connection to maritime culture and seafood.

Sydney is a coastal city on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia. It’s known for its strong Celtic heritage, scenic waterfront, and history rooted in coal mining and steel production. Today, Sydney serves as a regional hub with a focus on tourism, culture, and outdoor activities like hiking and coastal exploration.

Halifax is a historic port city on Canada’s Atlantic coast and the capital of Nova Scotia. Known for its large natural harbor, it has a strong maritime heritage, a vibrant waterfront, and landmarks like the Citadel.

Known for its key role in the American Revolution and its blend of old-world charm and modern innovation. It’s home to renowned universities like Harvard and MIT, a strong healthcare and biotech sector, passionate sports culture, and walkable neighborhoods.

Newport, Rhode Island is a historic coastal city known for its stunning seaside scenery, Gilded Age mansions, and rich maritime heritage. Set along Narragansett Bay, it’s famous for the Cliff Walk, sailing culture, and a quaint downtown with colonial-era buildings, shops, and waterfront dining.

New York City is the most exciting city. in the world. You can enjoy Central Park, superb museums, Times Square or the flagship Macy’s store, to name just a few. You can even take in a play or musical tonight since we stay overnight aboard the ship.

Another day to take in the Big Apple, possibly visiting the Statue of Liberty, Fifth Avenue or the always fun Upper West Side with its great restaurants, bookstores and shopping.
