For many years, our guests have asked us to offer a trip to impressive Mt. Rushmore in addition to our usual offerings to Grand Teton and Yellowstone each summer, and we have finally tailored the perfect holiday that offers, on one leisurely vacation, Grand Teton, Yellowstone, the Black Hills and Mt. Rushmore. With a leisurely pace, some wonderful dining and well-chosen hotels, this is a nice way to see some of the greatest sights in the West.

Comfort, along with wildlife and stunning views, abounds on this trip, with most of our hotel stays being at least two nights long. Our guests enjoy time in Salt Lake City, Grand Teton, Yellowstone, historic Cody and three nights in the Black Hills/Mt. Rushmore. Comprehensive sightseeing is featured and highlights include a cruise on lovely Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park, complete touring of Yellowstone including Old Faithful, the Upper and Lower Loops and the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. In Cody, there is not only a visit to the Buffalo Bill Historic Center but a chuckwagon dinner under the stars. And, of course, visits to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, historic Deadwood and even a ride aboard the Black Hills Central Railroad.

Guests arrive in Salt Lake City by air or train and transfer to the splendid Little America Hotel in the heart of downtown to begin our overnight stay. Tonight is our special welcome reception to meet new friends.

Depart for Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park after breakfast. Grand Teton is stunning with its jagged mountains, cobalt blue lakes, abundant wildlife and we will see even more of it tomorrow. We arrive in quaint Jackson this afternoon with all evening at leisure and there is time tonight to visit the fabled Million Dollar Cowboy Bar.

This morning we visit the Chapel of Transfiguration, a log church with amazing views of the Tetons followed by a visit to Jackson Lake for lunch and a boat cruise . We will visit the Colter Bay Visitor Center with its collection of Plains Indian art and exhibits before continuing into Yellowstone. Yellowstone was America's first National Park and has more geothermal activity than any other spot on Earth, with geysers and hundreds of hot springs.

Today is awe-inspiring as we tour the upper loop of Yellowstone, visiting Gibbon Falls, Mammoth Hot Springs, Norris Geyser Basin, Tower Falls, and the Lam Valley. Tonight is free to enjoy friendly West Yellowstone with its fine choice of restaurants and curio shops.

Another stunning day as we explore the lower loop of Yellowstone with such visual treats as Fountain Paint Pots, Old Faithful, the Upper and Lower Falls, Lake Yellowstone, and, of course, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. Later, we head east to historic Cody for an overnight stay.

Another fun day with a visit to the Buffalo Bill Historic Center in Cody which includes the Buffalo Bill Museum and the Whitney Gallery of Western Art. The Plains Indian Museum is well worth a visit and features the art and artifacts of the Plains Indians. This afternoon, we drive east and arrive in Deadwood SD for the first of three nights.

Today begins with a visit to the Black Hills where we will visit Crazy Horse Memorial at the base of Crazy Horse Mountain. Then onto Custer State Park which has a marvelous 19 mile Wildlife Loop Road with bison, longhorn sheep, elk and deer. After a full day we return to Deadwood SD in time for dinner with a fine choice of restaurants around our hotel.

All Aboard! This morning we ride the Black Hills Central Railroad, an 1880’s era train that will take us through lovely scenery to the quaint town of Keystone and onwards to Mount Rushmore. Up close, Mount Rushmore is astonishing as is the story of the man who created it, Gutzon Borglum. There is a superb museum with interactive exhibits and like so many other sites on this holiday, you will want your camera ready. After Mount Rushmore, we return to Deadwood for our final evening and farewell dinner.

We depart for Denver at 8:00 am with stops at Union Station and Denver Airport. Guests should not book any flight before 4:00 pm
